I got my belly button pierced in 2003 to celebrate my new life and freedom from my abusive first husband! I never take it out, to me it's a symbol of survival. I also don't show it to anyone or usually tell anyone about it, it's sort of a private message just for myself.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I have some tattoos that mean something very special to me, but I never really share the meaning with anyone but Ron. They are like signs of courage, I love that your piercing is that for you too!
